Contraindications to fasting treatment



Cardiovascular diseases:
  • atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia with frequent seizures;
  • circulatory insufficiency II-IV;
  • uncontrolled arterial hypertension, the crisis course of hypertension;
  • cardiomyopathy;
  • complete atrioventricular blockade with a heart rate of less than 50 per 1 minute, the presence of Morgagni-Edams- Stokes attacks;
  • myocardial infarction, including the rehabilitation period for 6 months;
  • presence of indications for surgical intervention on the heart and rehabilitation period after the operation (within 6 months),
  • arterial hypotension

Diseases of the respiratory system:
  • all diseases in an acute period;
  • uncontrolled bronchial asthma and severe bronchial asthma;
  • respiratory failure of 3 degrees;
  • decompensated pulmonary heart,
  • bronchiectatic disease

Diseases of the digestive system:
  • all diseases of the digestive tract in the period of exacerbation;
  • acute and chronic hepatitis of any etiology;
  • cirrhosis of the liver of any etiology;
  • liver failure;
  • ulcerative colitis;
  • diverticulosis of the intestine, marked manifestations of adhesions

Illnesses of the endocrine system:
  • diabetes mellitus type 1;
  • diabetes mellitus type 2 with insulin requirements and severe course;
  • diffuse toxic goiter (thyrotoxicosis);
  • severe hypothyroidism.

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system:
  • diseases of joints and muscles that limit self-care and independent movement of the patient.
  • For long fasting, the presence of joint prostheses, plastic tissues

Diseases of the nervous system:
  • cerebral circulation disorders,
  • multiple sclerosis,
  • amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,
  • Parkinson’s disease,
  • Alzheimer’s disease,
  • myopathies and other neurological diseases

Psychiatric illnesses:
  • non-occlusive seizures and their equivalents;
  • psychopathy,
  • epilepsy,
  • manic-depressive syndrome,
  • pathological development of an individual with severe behavioral disorders and social adaptation

Kidney diseases:
  • acute and chronic glomerulonephritis;
  • polycystic kidney disease;
  • chronic pyelonephritis in the acute stage;
  • chronic renal failure

Hematological diseases:
  • leukemia,
  • lymphoma,
  • pathology of the hemostasis system (hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopathy, hemorrhagic vasculitis),
  • moderate and severe anemia

Systemic connective tissue diseases - during hormone and cytostatic treatment:
  • systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE),
  • dermatomyositis,
  • rheumatoid arthritis,
  • systemic scleroderma,
  • systemic vasculitis

Indisposition of fasting, doubt, fear

If the patient has artificially implanted material, skin, valve, stent, joint ..., when transplanting tissues

Post-transplantation of internal organs (heart, kidney, etc.)

Pregnancy

Gallstone and urolithiasis (individually)

Tuberculosis

Thrombophlebitis and phlebothrombosis

Condition after surgery up to 6 months

Oncological diseases, oncological diseases in the anamnesis

Venereal diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea)

Some benign formations:
  • prostate adenoma,
  • uterine fibroids with risk of uterine bleeding,
  • rapid growth of benign formations

Acute infectious diseases

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV, AIDS)

Addiction

Significant body mass deficit (body mass index less than 19 kg / m2)

Unclear disease diagnosis

Children (up to 14 years) and older (over 70 years) age.
